I love both X and Pearl, X slightly more because of all the themes and cast. I am very excited to see what journey Maxxxine goes on❤️

I think Pearl is the better made movie and I think at the time I rated it higher than X but for my personal tastes I much prefer X I do have a feeling that Maxxine will be my favourite of the three though

I loved pearl but only liked X. I loved Pearl's overacting, the campiness and that it was so colorful. Typically horror films avoid colorfulness in its look but it made the film stand out. I kinda feel this is going to be the whatever happened to Baby Jane of our times. I think drag queens will have a Pearl routine 50 years from now.

I love both X and Pearl, and I go back and forth on which one I prefer. I think Pearl is slightly more special to me with the Wizard of Oz feeling, but I really love all of the homages in X to classic slashers. Really looking forward to MaXXXine! Thanks for the recap :)

I can definitely see that Pearl would fall in the marmite camp of you love it or hate. Personally I loved it, maybe slightly more than X even. It was a visually stunning character study & Mia Goth was superb. I am excited to see MaXXXine! Thanks for the recaps!

I found Pearl extremely disappointing, it’s just not for me at all. However, I do love this one and everything about it. High hopes for Maxxxine still, just not to high. lol Great video!

Saw a trailer last night for strange darling, that looks like it is gonna be pretty crazy as well. Really good year for horror/thriller films.

I love how you carefully lay out events and provide the audience with exactly what we want out of recaps. It's an underrated kind of skill and deserves much praise!

I have to disagree on the point that both Summerisle and Hälsingland feel idyllic and beautiful at first. That's certainly true for Summerisle, right up until the moment of the big reveal. But Hälsingland just screams "cult" as soon as you enter the village. The white uniforms, the placid expressions, the blank stares as everyone moves in perfect sync, the too-cleanness of the whole place. It immediately brings to mind Jonestown or Heaven's Gate. I think that's one area where Midsommar falls short of The Wicker Man, because while the setting is beautiful, it still looks like a place where some dark shit could go down at any minute, so we're all just waiting on the other shoe to drop.

I haven't seen the original movie so I cannot make a comparison but I did enjoy the atmosphere and characters in this.

The Borderlands (2013) HAS to be in there! But glad you included Lake Mungo.

Intrigued by Nosfuartu , long legs and Maxxine . Fancy watching Trap but hoping it’s not imo like some of his other films which I found disappointing despite the story lines x

I only saw the first one, which I didn't care for at all. They lost me when they were stupid enough to have yet another noisy baby 5 minutes after losing the last one! I never bothered with the second one.

Great recap! The first film is a modern classic! Second one’s not as good but I do still like it. It works really well for a sequel. Cannot wait for Day One! Apocalyptic prequels that show how it all came down are my jam 😆

My review of Lisa Franstein as one of the Kris behind it back in the 90’s is up and needs some national attention quickly, as many kids did di* & kids across the city were getting human tested on and k’d off or disappearing as the whole city, mayor, & schools tried to keep it quiet. I might be next & was kids prod across state lines & Gypsy rosed so couldn’t escape. Still there’s been no justice despite the number of de*ths and how many affected. So I discuss the themes included and why and why some of the songs joked were included to help gain attention to what these kids were suffering. Tbh a whole city full of kids deserves some reparations & many went without justice. So hope people will support my efforts. I also discuss some songs and other movies and shows we did where some same themes or stuff going on at the time was discussed in hopes of bringing attention to what kids were suffering. Citywide human testing on kids in USA… sick and disgusting they allowed it to occur so widely and destroy so many lives, including mine.

Hoffman is long dead. Even the actor himself said this. Especially when he was told to way wach over Jill and if anything happens to her act immediately.

I'm definitely looking forward to Longlegs, Cuckoo, Terrifier 3, and Smile 2. I want to look forward to the Crow, but I really don't want to get my hopes up because I LOVE the original.

I seriously can't wait for Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! I will have preordered the my ticket and be in the seat opening day!

I'm a big fan of the Herzog version of Nosferatu and am looking forward to the new version. I saw the trailer for the new Crow version in the theater and never wanted to see that again :(

That sucks because the Prometheus prequels have been amazing it would have been nice if it was closer to those and focus on ripley

Bills crow movie is still the one I’m most hyped about he is only upset with the ending and something happened with that writer that worked on it and entourage and got fired or something he really tore the movie apart because he was upset he was the second person from entourage to work on the crow it’s getting some weird problems before it’s release and that insane delay when it should have just released a week early with the original movie in theaters but it’s going to still be my movie of the year

Is the new art movie going to be in theaters world wide because I was hyped for the last art movie but it never came to theaters

Super Excited about all the ones You've mentioned.... But especially NOSFERATU (As I adore the original German classic...and really any great Vampire tale), MAXXXINE, and ALIEN: ROMULUS ..... Yeeeaassssss!! The movie trailer alone gave me goosebumps! Have to say THE EXORCISM intrigues me as because I I like theory you've got there and would be cool if they could play off that idea.
